Group D - Ukraine v France

Pre-match Prediction : Another chance to see one of the co-hosts as Ukraine take on France.

Ukraine got their campaign off with a win over Sweden on Monday night to send the home fans into raptures.

They looked the better team on Monday & it was good to see Shevchenko back to form, scoring his nations two goals.

Tonight will be a much tougher test for Ukraine as the face a France side who are undefeated in over 20 games.

I'd like to see a bit more from France winger Frank Ribery. He is capable of so much but it is very rare he shows it.

I'd also like to see striker, Karim Benzema stay forward a little more. He is up front on his own but spent a lot of time coming deep & it left France with no options in the penalty area.

Again, this one is difficult to call. France are no doubt the better team but home advantage in tournament play can be very inspiring. Having said that it's a big ask to win your first game as Host then go up against a team like France just 4 days later.

Ukraine 1-2 France
